Next, a connector called the abutment will be attached to the implant. The connector serves as the base for replacement teeth. Your dentist will also take bite impressions and order new teeth. This can take time because the dentist will ensure that the replacement tooth (teeth) looks similar to your natural teeth. Replacement teeth used on dental implants can be removable or fixed.
